The Apple Cinema Display is a line of flat panel computer monitors introduced in September 1999 by Apple Inc. This particular Cinema Display was designed to complement the MacBook, MacBook Pro and MacBook Air models as well as desktop Macs with a Mini DisplayPort (and it is not compatible with earlier Macs). This display features 27-inch glossy LED-backlit TFT active-matrix LCD display with IPS technology and an optimum resolution of 2560x1440. It has a 178 degree horizontal and vertical viewing angle, a "typical" brightness of 375 cd/m2, contrast ratio of 1000:1, and a 12 ms response time. This model also features three USB 2.0 ports and a convenient single cable with three connectors (Mini DisplayPort, MagSafe, and USB 2.0), a built-in iSight camera with a mic and a 2.1 speaker system.
