The popularity of the iPod 5G with video sparked the release of the iPod U2 Edition 5G 30GB (MA452LL/A) which was internally the same as the 5G 30GB configuration. Like the previous U2 Edition iPod, the 5G U2 Edition features a red clickwheel and black front but changed the rear case to a gloss black metal with laser-etched autographs of the U2 band members. It is able to store up to 7,500 songs and over 1000 4 minute videos (in H.264 750-Kbps video with 128-Kbps audio) at a maximum of 480x480. The Lithium Ion battery is capable of providing 14 hours of music playback, 3 hours of slideshows with music, and 2 hours of video playback.
