The MacBook Air family is a line of Apple ultraportable Macintosh notebook computers. These computers feature a one piece aluminum razor thin casing and do not include an apical drive to save space and weight. This MacBook Air (MC505LL/A) features a 1.4 GHz Intel "Core 2 Duo" processor (SU9400) with two independent processor "cores" on a single chip with a 3 MB on-chip shared level 2 cache running on a 800 MHz frontside bus and 2 GB of onboard 1066 MHz DDR3 SDRAM (which only could be upgraded to 4 GB at the time of purchase), 64 GB or 128 GB of flash storage, a NVIDIA GeForce 320M "graphics processor with 256 MB of DDR3 SDRAM shared with main memory", an integrated "FaceTime" video camera & a a non-backlit full-size keyboard. The solid aluminum casing houses a 11.6" widescreen TFT LED backlit active-matrix "glossy" display (1366x768 native resolution). Connectivity includes AirPort Extreme (802.11a/b/g/n), Bluetooth 2.1+EDR, dual USB 2.0 ports, analog audio out, and video out capabilities (Mini DisplayPort) that support an external 30" display. It lacks internal Ethernet (an external adapter was available as a US$29 upgrade) and lacks Firewire and optical audio in/out as well.
